We had to order this pitcher because, as always, the original that came with the Iced Tea Maker cracked. In the past we have just purchase new makers, but I already had a new maker in a box(we had been using the pitcher from THAT box for almost 6 months). We never put the pitchers in the dishwasher and I think this time we are going to take up the suggestion of skipping ice until after the tea is made. Maybe this will help?!
