Last Minute Mr. Coffee IDS75 Electric Coffee Grinder with Chamber Maid Cleaning System, White

I would like to give a more complete review of this grinder but I can't because it only lasted for two grinds. From these two grinds I can tell you that it performed as advertised. The coffee was ground according to the settings I used and the unit was very easy to use and to clean afterwards. However, it seems to me that the thermal breaker they are using is much too sensitive to heat. When this unit stopped working on just the second grind there was no discernable heat from the unit and the beans did not bind the blades. I guess for the money it could have been a good little grinder but considering how long it lasted I don't think I would waste my money on another one. Oh, yes, and to resolve the issue you cannot just contact customer service to send it back for repair/replacement like you can do with almost any other on-line vendor, you have to locate a local repair center and make arrangements with them for repairs which usually means taking it in to them. In my case that would have meant a 45 minute drive. The cost of gas alone makes that a ridiculous solution. If Mr. Coffee really wants to be helpful regarding this low quality item they could at least modernize their return process so that you can just send it back to them or their service center directly and not have to go through a "local" repair center.
