It is not as noisy as other grinders I've owned, grinds beans to the perfect consistency for espresso, and is *very* easy to clean. The only drawback is that the "convenient" pour spout is not that convenient. It's pretty large and the lid will not stay up unless you hold it at an awkward angle. It's ok for the cofee maker basket, but when I try to pour the grounds into the little basket for my espresso maker, I still tend to spill coffee all over the countertop.
